The Education cluster is for those who are passionate about learning, fostering growth, and sharing knowledge with others. These careers involve designing curricula, teaching various subjects, providing counseling, and leading educational institutions. If you possess patience, communication skills, and a desire to mentor and inspire the next generation, you belong here.

Careers in Education require passion, patience, strong communication, and adaptability. Professionals in this sector design and deliver instruction, assess student progress, manage classrooms, and collaborate with parents and administrators to create effective learning environments. Success in education is built upon a strong foundation of subject matter expertise, child development knowledge, and culturally responsive teaching methods.

Career Pathways:

  • K-12 Teaching & Instruction (Requires Licensure): Elementary School Teacher, Secondary School Teacher (Math, Science, English, etc.), Special Education Teacher, Reading Specialist/Literacy Coach, Technical/Vocational Education Instructor, ESL/Bilingual Education Teacher.
  • School Leadership & Support: School Principal/Assistant Principal, Superintendent, School Counselor/Guidance Counselor, Curriculum Developer/Specialist, School Librarian/Media Specialist, School Psychologist (requires graduate study).
  • Higher Education & Adult Learning: Postsecondary Professor/Instructor, Academic Advisor/Student Services Specialist, University Registrar, Corporate Trainer/HR Specialist, Instructional Designer (e.g., for online learning), Adult Basic Education Instructor.
