Veterans

The Career Services and Advising Center is committed to being a partner to our student veterans on campus. We look forward to helping you prepare for your next steps after Fitchburg State and to helping you build on the skills, experiences, and talents you have already gained through your experiences.

Whether you are just beginning to explore how your service translates to corporate, non-profit, or public sector roles, or you are preparing to step directly into the job market, our center offers tailored support every step of the way.

How We Partner With You

  • Translating Military Experience: Military jargon, acronyms, and rank structures don’t always translate easily to civilian hiring managers. We will work with you one-on-one to reframe your service record, duties, and achievements into a high-impact resume.
  • Targeted Career Coaching: Transitioning out of the military environment brings unique choices and challenges. Our advisors provide individual coaching to help you map out career paths, identify industry-specific opportunities, and navigate corporate culture.
  • Interview Preparation & Professional Brand: From crafting a strong LinkedIn profile to mastering interview techniques, we help you communicate your unique story with confidence.
