New Transfer Students

Welcome new transfer students! The Career Services and Advising Center supports and oversees initial transfer advising for undergraduate Day students. You can sign up for an advising registration meeting after you have made your decision and paid your admissions deposit. Each major has a specific faculty Transfer Advisor (see below). Please reach out to your advisor directly to set up your initial transfer advising and registration meeting. Registration for students starting in the Fall semester begins on May 1st and for students who will begin at Fitchburg State in the Spring semester will begin their advising and registration on December 1st.

As a new transfer student, you arrive at Fitchburg State with valuable prior experience, and we encourage you to leverage the Career Services and Advising Center starting your very first semester! Getting involved early is crucial to maximizing your time here. We can help you quickly translate your past courses and experiences into strong resume bullet points, ensure your academic plan aligns with your professional goals, and connect you with crucial resources like Handshake for access to internships and on-campus events. By partnering with us right away, you can effectively integrate into the Fitchburg State community, identify pathways to professional success, and ensure your time spent here is directly building toward your desired career launch.
